Consular Information FAQs

Visa applications must be submitted in person with complete documentation. Processing typically takes 15 working days. Appointments can be scheduled through our online portal.

You'll need your current passport, two passport photos, completed application form, proof of residence, and applicable fee. Minors require additional parental consent documentation.

Documents must first be notarized locally, then authenticated by the Department of State, and finally legalized by the Embassy. Please allow 3-5 business days for processing.

Consular services: Monday-Friday 9:00 AM - 12:30 PM. General inquiries: Monday-Friday 2:00 PM - 4:30 PM. We are closed on Luxembourg and U.S. public holidays.

Registration can be completed at the Embassy with valid identification and proof of local address. Alternatively, you may submit documents by mail with certified copies and return postage.

For emergencies outside business hours, please call our 24/7 hotline at +352 247-80000. We provide assistance for lost passports, medical emergencies, and legal crises.
